A modern, eclectic Indie wedding in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at a warehouse in the Summer

Real Weddings: Ashley & Anthony

Free-spirits and kindred souls Ashley and Anthony knew one another dating back to high school. But life went on. Ashley ended up attending University of Minnesota, while Anthony stayed in Milwaukee to pursue his career. After dating for some time, Anthony, an engineer, devised a plan to propose while the pair were in Utah on a trip visiting friends. One morning while there, Ashley and Anthony went on a morning hike; of course Anthony implored his soon-to-be fiancé to wear something nice since their friend wanted to take some pictures once they got up in the hills. This was not out of the ordinary, as the friend they were visiting is a photographer. Unfazed, Ashley obliged and once Anthony found an ideal spot on the hike, he got down on one knee and proposed! For their wedding vision, a family friend of Ashley is a professional event planner, and planned the wedding for free. The couple was able to throw a fete that included 120 guests. Baked in the orange glow of the sun as it peeked through the wall of windows at Turner Hall, Ashley made her way down the aisle to be united with Anthony in matrimony. The earthy, trendsetting yet non-traditional wedding vibes matched that of Ashley and her beau, and truly reflected their auras.
