Real Engagements: Ashley & James

Imagine running into the very person you had been talking with late into the night on the phone randomly on a road trip? Destiny had specific plans for Ashley and James, who had actually matched on Tinder first and began conversations that way. But then one day, Ashley, an attorney, was on a drive through Richmond, Virginia, and she ran into none other than James. This happy accident led to a purposeful adventure. Ashley attended Winston Salem State University for undergrad and then went to North Carolina Central University’s School of Law. James was living in Virginia, where the new couple’s paths crossed so serendipitously. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and works as a corporate wellness director. The couple’s relationship started at the beginning of 2020, during the height of the pandemic and while dating they were 110 miles apart. However, the distance and the challenges posed by the pandemic couldn’t keep their laughter and love from growing stronger.

Ashley and James chose to have their engagement photoshoot in Great Falls, Maryland and Alexandria, Virginia, as they currently live in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia metro.
