Fiancés strike glam poses for emerald engagement shoot in Nashville, Tennessee

Real Engagements: Carissa & Erinton

Graduates of an HBCU, Tennessee State University alumni Carissa and Erinton met while at college and began dating in 2012. After eight years together, Erinton was ready to put a ring on it. It was the weekend of Carissa’s big grand opening; she is the owner of a hair salon and many of her friends and family were in town to attend the opening and celebrate. Little did Carissa know she would be celebrating something in addition to the accomplishment of being a business owner. The day before the opening, Carissa went to visit her friends who were in town for the opening. They were staying at an AirBnB rental. As she walked up the steps to the rental she notices there are rose petals strewn about. About then she overhears the voice of a man singing as it grew louder and louder. As she reached the top of the steps, Carissa was met with a room filled with their friends and family, with Erinton stationed right in the middle of the crowd. Down on one knee Erinton proposed to his love as Carissa broke down with tears of joy and surprise.

Carissa had a vision for their engagement photo shoot. She and Erinton sought to evoke a “fierce and sexy” vibe. She wanted to convey the idea of the couple being “a moving force” and for the photos to show off their personalities. These TSU tigers will wed in Nashville, TN in October of 2022.
