Glamorous all white monochromatic Fall wedding at a ballroom near Houston, Texas
Real Weddings: Crystal & Tristan
Crystal and Tristan’s commitment to their faith was one of the things that first brought them together. A mutual friend at their church introduced them. The next logical step in this modern world was to take the conversation online to Facebook. Crystal, a communications specialist, and Tristan, an IT specialist who attended the Art Institute of Austin, TX, hit it off and instantly became an item. When Tristan was ready to propose, he chose to do it on Crystal’s birthday. Though initially, she didn’t make it easy. Crystal didn’t want to celebrate her birthday until the weekend; it happened to be a Wednesday. Her mother convinced her to get over to the nail salon for a manicure, while Tristan managed to coax her into putting on some fancy clothes. The pair made it to dinner, where an anxious Tristan barely ate — this was highly uncharacteristic of him Crystal noted. Suddenly both sets of parents, Crystal’s siblings and other family members appeared, surprising her, and came over to their table, just as the server placed a dessert on the table for the couple with words that read “Will You Marry Me?” Everyone cheered as Tristan got down on one knee. Crystal had actually been secretly praying for years that when the time came, her family would bear witness to her proposal, and God delivered on her wish. During the fall, in the Houston area, Crystal and Tristan tied the knot before 125 guests. Yet, perhaps the sweetest aspect of their union was that they were able to hold off on kissing each other all the way up until at the altar on their wedding day. Tristan, quite the lucky fellow, was the first and only person Crystal has ever kissed. Their devotion to their beliefs as well as one another made it all possible, plus so much more.
