Church friends turned fiancés have trendy, rust orange and green engagement session in Dallas, Texas
Real Engagements: Gigi & Jeremy
Gigi and Jeremy weren’t actually looking for a romantic relationship when their paths first crossed. Each was focused on his and her individual growth so when they met one another at a community service event at their church so aptly named “Love Blitz,” they began building a relationship as friends. This included grabbing drinks and tacos together.
Jeremy has degrees from University of Texas-Arlington and Northeastern University and works as a director of a resource center at the University of North Texas, while Gigi is highly accomplished as well, having graduated from SUNY New Paltz and then later Johns Hopkins. She works as a math educator for Fort Worth schools currently. Both appreciated that the pressure was off as they got to know one another more and more, building a foundation that was centered around their faith.
One day, Jeremy was courageous enough to take his shot romantically with Gigi. She was receptive, and the pair courted for a year, when Jeremy was beyond ready to propose to Gigi. He planned a surprise proposal in Gigi’s home state of New York, during a trip to see the Christmas Tree at the Rockefeller Center in Manhattan. After sifting through the large crowd to get closest to the giant tree, Jeremy dropped down on one knee and the entire crowd gasped collectively forming a circle around the two of them, while Gigi said yes. Gigi was surprised to see her close friends and family waiting at dinner to celebrate their engagement.
