Jazmine and Tyshawn go way back — back to the sixth and seventh grades, where they attended the same middle school. As student athletes, they often saw one another during sporting events and practices. Tyshawn and Jazmine even had a little fling during that time, though it dissipated once Tyshawn went off to high school. The jitters of speaking to a former crush snuck up on them even in high school when eventually they ended up in a computer class together. Tyshawn was seated right next to Jazmine, yet neither spoke a single word to each other for the entire semester. But by the time Tyshawn was a senior, he had mustered the courage to somehow secure Jazmine’s number and began texting her. From then the pair were a bona fide item. Many years later, after Jazmine went to Virginia Tech for undergrad and Tyshawn attended Delaware State University, the couple had their first child. As their first family trip together, they went to Atlantis in the Bahamas. Jazmine, now a recruiting manager for Amazon, got the surprise of her dreams when Tyshawn proposed to her on the final night of their vacation in front of a beautiful fountain at the resort. The couple wed in the spring of 2021 before 90 of their most treasured guests. Jazmine was escorted down the aisle by her father and her grandfather together, while a pianist played live. Two of the most memorable moments were when Jazmine’s brother was granted permission to attend her wedding and surprised her, and her father broke out in a fully choreographed multi-song dance during the father-daughter dance that no one was prepared for. It brought down the house. Champagne flutes all around, the couple ended their dreamy night with a group toast to their everlasting love.
