Adoring couple’s plaza rooftop engagement shoot in Kansas City, Missouri
Real Weddings: Jennifer & Quinn
Jennifer and Quinn were set up on a blind date by each of their sisters, where the group then went bowling together, which eased the nerves of the now lovebirds. The date went so well that the next day, the pair went out for brunch and spent hours chatting and getting to know one another. It was clear from that moment they had something special going on. Jennifer and Quinn, who both attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, began dating, much to their sisters’ happiness. Quinn, an assistant manager for a retirement planning financial firm, chose to propose in 2020 on the couple’s one-year anniversary. On that day, Jennifer expected to head out on a day date and then eat dinner at Capital Grille with her beau, as planned. However, Quinn switched things up by surprising Jennifer at her doorstep, with family and her best friend in tow, to drop down to one knee and pop the question. Immediately upon her affirmative response, their song — the Mariah Carey and Joe remix “Thank God I Found You-Make it Last Forever” — began to play.
Jennifer, an assistant project procurement manager, wanted to show off their romantic sides in their engagement shoot, as it was the first time the couple had professional photos taken together. They were able to go to several locations for the shoot. They will be married at the Madrid Theater in Kansas City, MO in October of 2021.
