After proposing on an Atlanta, GA Ferris wheel, couple showcases love in formal engagement shoot

Real Weddings: Khalia & Brandon

Ten years ago, a student named Brandon who was attending Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, made his intentions known to a student from the nearby Spelman College, named Khalia. The pair had begun flirting, which led to dating and in 2013, it was time for Brandon to lock it up. He asked Khalia to be his girlfriend. For these college sweethearts, that was it. Deep down each knew they had found the person they were meant to marry eventually.

Come time to propose, Brandon, who is now a strategic account manager waited until Christmas Eve to propose to his forever date, Khalia, who has since become an educator. Back when each was in college, their first date was at the Skyview Ferris Wheel in the city. Brandon sought to recreate that moment. He whisked Khalia off to the Ferris wheel but was sure to have close friends waiting nearby to document the moment and celebrate with them afterwards. It was magical and reminiscent. Khalia immediately said yes.

The duo are planning a destination wedding for December of 2024. It will take place in the warm and picturesque Los Cabos, Mexico.
