Bride-to-be dons grandmother’s wedding dress in a chic downtown Atlanta, Georgia engagement session

Real Engagements: Mackenzie & Jonathan

Jonathan, a financial research analyst, and Mackenzie, a buyer success manager, both moved to Atlanta around the same time. About a year after fate relocated each of them to The Big Peach, they met each other and instantly felt the tinge of electricity that only true love can bring.  After dating for some time, Jonathan knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Mackenzie and decided to pop the question and began concocting an elaborate plan. And while he and MacKenzie were on vacation with Mackenzie’s family, he lured her off to a private beach and asked her the most important question of their lives. Mackenzie was completely surprised as her mom, who was able to help disguise Jonathan’s true motives, had told her that they were just going to be taking family pictures on the beach. What’s more, Jonathan had secretly flown in his immediate family as well  to join in on the celebration.

After the proposal, the couple decided to have a late fall photo shoot to celebrate their engagement. For the shoot, Mackenzie wore her grandmother’s wedding dress, which was reimagined to fit her perfectly. The couple took photos around downtown Atlanta and Piedmont Park. Jonathan, an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee and Mackenzie, who is originally from Tennessee and graduated from Middle Tennessee State University, are excitedly planning their wedding, which is set to take place on September 23, 2023, at a country club in Middle, TN, Mackenzie’s hometown.
