SoCal couple weds in rustic boho style outdoor wedding with romantic mauve and plum accents
Real Weddings: Sashie & Gabe
After friends convinced both Sashie and Gabe to try a dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel, reluctantly they obliged. It’s a good thing they each did because it’s how they found each other. Originally a skeptic of the online dating method, Gabe, who is an entrepreneur in the youth sports sector and graduate of California State University – East Bay, became a believer once he met Sashie. The couple began dating and often frequented a town in Orange County, CA near them called Laguna Beach. Sashie, who is now an entrepreneur with Gabe as well as in the beauty sector and attended Pratt College, had some of the fondest memories of going to Laguna Beach, which Gabe made a mental note of for when it was time to propose to his love. What held the most significance for Sashie is the very place in Laguna Beach where her father and her late mother got married – a little gazebo with an ocean view. To pop the question, with the help of Sashie’s dad, Gabe drove them over to meet up with Sashie’s father in Laguna Beach at what she thought would be a reggae concert. They approached the very gazebo where her parents were married, and Sashie still hadn’t caught on. Gabe begins recounting the reasons why he loves Sashie, and as they were gazing off into the sunset, he knelt down and asked for her hand. His intentionality was very apparent to Sashie, and it continued when Gabe then whisked her off to not one but two surprise engagement gatherings. Their springtime wedding of 150 guests went off without a hitch and had a priceless special feature: Sashie’s dad is a musician and he played with the live band at her reception. Everyone jammed out late into the night then sent the newlyweds off with sparklers to their mini-moon.
