Vegan boho evergreen and sage treehouse elopement in Dallas, Texas
Real Weddings: Tana & Jarrett
In a year like 2020, the proverbial wedding rules get thrown out. When a worldwide pandemic threatens to shut all parties down, couples like Tana and Jarrett have had to make tough decisions. Do they wait it out in hopes of one day having the grand wedding they dreamed? Or, do they roll with the punches, embracing a chance to sneak off and have a two-person wedding that’s live broadcast on YouTube? Tana and Jarrett made the best of the situation and chose the latter. In Dallas, TX, these alumni of Texas Tech University broke all of the “rules” having a wedding with no guests, in a treehouse nonetheless! Yes, the couple rented a modern treehouse found on Airbnb to serve as their venue. And why not? Times like these force people to reevaluate their priorities. It essentially comes down to you and your partner. You are the only people you have to be concerned with making happy, so there’s the ability to make your wedding as unique as you want it. That may be some silver lining. Tana and Jarrett were married how and when they wanted, by an officiant, after dressing alone before meeting at the altar, which Tana said certainly felt “awkward.” But once they both saw each other, they felt relief and excitement. Both are huge BeyoncĂ© fans; many of their ceremony song selections were Bey but were played by a solo violinist. They also chose one of her songs to dance to for their first dance, one wedding tradition they did end up incorporating into the day. After photos, Tana and Jarrett strolled around the Bishop Arts District decked out in their beautiful bohemian-style attire; strangers on the street cheered for the newlyweds. The pair, who initially met while at college but didn’t interact until Jarrett began bantering with Tana on Twitter, shared an intimate catered vegan dinner and spent the night soaking it all in.

Hi,
What brand or designer is the husband’s suit?
Thanks in advance
Hi Pedro! The groom’s suit comes from a fantastic brand called Indochino. If you scroll down to the vendors links at bottom of the post, you should find the link and it’ll take you straight to their website. We absolutely love the cut and color of his suit. Hope that helps!
