Real Weddings: Tasha & Christian

black african american bride Tasha real wedding Christian Cincinnati Ohio fall country club marriage ceremony reception vows

Tasha and Christian are singing their way into marital bliss after they were wed before 70 guests at a pristine country club in Cincinnati, OH on a crisp fall day. It all began when Christian and Tasha, graduates of the University of Louisville and the University of Chicago, respectively, met through their work in the finance sector. Tasha is a recruiter in banking while Christian is a consultant. A commonality between the two is their love for music of all eras and genres. This played into the proposal Christian crafted for Tasha. She had never been to Las Vegas, so he surprised her for her 30th birthday, whisking her there to see none other than her musical idol Celine Dion. It was only natural that he proposed just as she sang “My Heart Will Go On.” Music was an inspiration the couple used to guide their wedding planning, especially the ceremony. Tasha was extremely thoughtful when choosing the music selections to which she’d walk down the aisle. She chose a piano rendition of the Jurassic Park theme song to be escorted down the aisle by her father. Upon being declared husband and wife, Christian and his bride walked back up the aisle to Rick Astley’s iconic 80s hit  “Never Gonna Give You Up.” Later, after dinner and speeches at the reception, the couple broke the ice getting everyone to the dance floor by performing karaoke to another wedding music staple: “Love Shack” by The B52s. Tasha and Christian didn’t allow the pandemic to infringe on their fun-loving wedding, which struck a memorable chord with all who had the privilege of attending.
