Real Engagements: Taylor & Jackson

By Mae Wagner

Graduate of University of Louisville, Taylor met her beau, Jackson, at a bar called Florida Georgia Line House in Nashville, TN,  through a mutual friend while they were out on the town one night. Taylor, who is a media creator and dancer for a National Football League professional team, danced her way into the heart of Jackson, and the pair became official. After dating for some time, Jackson, a family nurse practitioner as well as a property accessor told Taylor that he was taking her to buy engagement rings. “I didn’t believe him,” Taylor says. But it was true. Then one night, the couple made dinner reservations at a downtown restaurant and they showed up dressed to impress looking elegant and suave. Jackson, a graduate of University of Tennessee-Knoxville, told Taylor they had time to stop somewhere before their dinner reservation. All a part of his proposal plan, he lead her to a lovely little park nearby. Once at the park, Jackson hugged Taylor for a long time. He then produced a ring box from his pocket and got down on one knee to propose to her. “The sweetest thing is [that] he recorded the whole week up to the engagement about how excited he was to propose.” Taylor reminisces lovingly of the moment and Jackson’s carefully crafted plan. “It melts my heart.”

Taylor and Jackson took their classic yet on-trend engagement photos at Union Station Nashville Yards in April of 2023. The couple plan to have a winter wedding in January of 2024 in Nashville at The Bridge Building in the Cumberland Park area.
