Real Engagements: Terrie & Eric

While Terrie and Eric had originally met back in high school, they did not start dating until several years after that, in 2016. After four years of courtship, Eric, who is an IT systems analyst, was ready to take things to the next level with his sweetheart. In the Covid summer of 2020, Terrie, who is a registered nurse and a graduate of both Holy Cross University and Loyola University, surprised Eric by taking him out to his favorite restaurant for his birthday, which would be two days later. Little did Terrie suspect, Eric had a surprise he was brewing of his own. Eric humored Terrie by going out to the dinner date she had planned. Though, on that humid, dusky evening in July, Eric asked Terrie to take a walk with her after dinner. As they neared St. Louis Cathedral, Terrie started to notice there were flowers set up, and that’s when it began to sink for her that Eric was about to propose. A photographer, plus friends and family of the couple were there in person to watch the proposal and help celebrate.

The inspiration for their engagement shoot was simply romance. “I wanted the shoot to represent the love we share for one another in a very elegant and classic way,” Terrie stated. They also wanted to incorporate a piano in their shoot, as Eric is a avid musician. The couple tied the knot on September 19, 2021, in New Orleans, LA.
