After Paris proposal, Floridian college sweethearts pose for engagement shoot in Atlanta, Georgia

Real Engagements: Christin & Jonathan

College sweethearts, Christin and Jonathan, met on the very first day of their undergraduate journey at Florida A&M University. They had chemistry, quite literally, as it was chemistry class where the two crossed paths. Having seen Jonathan enter the room, Christin was intrigued. After class, she confidently asked Jonathan to join her, along with some friends, in the dining hall café for dinner. Through her friendly gesture, plus a few cupcakes and some romantic moments later on, “their hearts were all but promised to each other.”

Their relationship continued for nine years and Jonathan, who is currently a vendor relations manager for AT&T, knew it was time to propose and that it had to be grand. He organized a trip to Paris, France for the New Year holiday for Christin, who is now a pharmacist as well as a veterinary student. Jonathan led her onto a dinner cruise on the Champs-Élysées on New Year’s Eve, which he knew would be the perfect set-up for his proposal. As planned, during the countdown at midnight, Jonathan got down and popped the question. Christin was blown away by the thoughtfulness, the scenery, and the pure magic of the holiday in the most romantic city on Earth.

For their engagement photoshoot, Christin and Jonathan used the backdrop of the Millennium Gate Museum in Atlanta, GA. They wanted to match the vibe of their wedding, which is classic and elegant. They also wanted to make sure their college, which united them, was represented in some photos. “We have a lot of pride in our school and that’s where we fell in love so we definitely wanted to show that off in a few pictures,” said Christin. The couple will be getting married in Orlando, FL in December of 2021.
